The Big Apple

Just got back from NYC. What an incredible trip. I did not want to leave. We managed to do almost everything in 9 days. The pictures can be found here

A few highlights for me were the Broadway play "Jersey Boys", hanging out in Central Park, and the view from the top of the Empire State Building. We are already planning another trip!

Now off to watch the LSU/Georgia game! Geaux Tigers!!!!

Quick Summary

Went to the Hot Air Balloon festival. Saw balloons, fireworks and men jumping out planes.




Went to the first Saints home preseason game. They won!





Was driving around looking at houses and saw this buck (along with a doe) chilling out in someone's front yard in White Oak Landing.








The weather has been awesome so the top is off the jeep!

A year

Yesterday was the year anniversary of Shane's passing. I have dreaded this day as I dread all "milestone" days. The guys approached me with ideas a few weeks ago, and in the end we decided on a bbq at my house with the entire gang. It turned out to be quite an event and it was great to catch up with everyone. It's not often all of us can get together at the same time.
So to be honest, I really enjoyed yesterday which I'm sure is what Shane would have wanted.

I can't believe it's been a year, although alot of times, it seems like it's been much longer.

Guns!

2 weeks ago the 4 of us went out to shoot guns. Shane taught me everything there is to know about my pistol and I think the guys were impressed that I didn't require any of their help throughout the day. They were also impressed by what a good shot I am.

We goofed around all day (being extra safe of course). Here are some videos and pictures of us acting like fools.
